This Two years ago the NAHC held a Life Member Turkey hunt at Osage Outfitters in DuBois, Nebraska. The turkey hunting was fantastic! Everybody tagged big birds, some of them trophy birds with as many as 4 beards. The hunt was such a success that we decided to do it again!

Southeast Nebraska’s rolling hills and open grasslands are divided by hedgerows, timbered areas, creeks, and drainages. This topography holds abundant wildlife including Merriam’s and hybrid turkeys. You’ll arrive at Osage Outfitters the afternoon of April 23rd, hunt for 3 days, and depart the morning of April 27th. $695 will get you 4 night’s lodging (double occupancy rooms), home cooked meals, and a semi-guided hunt for 1 Tom. A fully guided hunt will cost you $1,095. You can shoot a second Tom for an additional $150. Other costs include tags ($91 per bird), a habitat stamp ($16), tips, and your transportation to the lodge.

This truly unique 4-day whitetail hunting adventure begins with a flight to Port-Menier, Quebec, located on the secluded 135-mile long island of Anticosti in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. From there you’ll ride half way across the island to the picturesque Vaureal lodge where you’ll spend 5 nights enjoying comfortable accommodations (2 per room) and fantastic French cuisine meals.

During your 4 days of semi-guided spot-and-stalk hunting you’ll have the chance to explore miles of the island. You’ll certainly see plenty of deer along with other wildlife including numerous Cross Foxes. You will be able to shoot 2 deer (bucks or does). You may even have a shot at a piebald deer!

Your hunt costs (in Canadian $) will include:
• $2,380 for meals, lodging, island transportation, and guiding
• $338  for a 2-deer tag license (estimate based on 2009 rates)
