Hey, does anyone have a recommendation for a good Bear guide in Canada? I am looking to book a spring hunt for 2010 and would like to do so with a reputable guide that someone from the club has either heard of and/or used themselves with good results. Thanks

New Brunswick

Spring and fall took my first bear here.

Ontario

No spring hunt but fall is good.

I really like this place but it is out there.

Both are nice places.

Best of luck.

Iam looking at this Steeprock river outfitter's an so far he is checking out to be what he says he is , He is located in Manitoba,Canadat the hunt is 2800$ for it all tags, food, lodging . i have some references that he gave me they even include people that havent taken a bear. i have been to Manitoba hunting bear 4 times an taken 3 bears the reason iam looking at a diff outfitter because the outfitter that i had used went out of busness last year.

I hunted with Trai End Camp Outfitters this past May for black bear.  It was one of the most fun and rewarding guided hunts I have been on.  Vance (owner) runs a first class outfit on the Winnepeg River in Mannitoba, Canada.  Accomodations and meals were great.  Saw lots of bears.  He has 100% success.  Check out North American Hunting Clubs, lifetime member hunts from 2009.  Trail End Camp is one of the featured hunts.  Only challenge is he may already be booked for the spring of 2010.

I went on my first bear hunt last spring.  Hunted with Hasting Bros. Outfitters Ltd. www.hastingsbros.com.  My friend and I both took nice bears. Tim and Donna are good people. They along with our guide Bob made this memoriable hunt. Who every you choose hope you have great time.
