Ive been a self taught taxidermist for the most part. I started at 11 with videos on squirrels and such. However, after gaining more trophies to put on the wall mostly of friends and family I would like to further my knowledge. Does anyone know of intermediate classes that also would give me a licencse to pursue this present hobby as a business?

The license requirements vary from State to State. You will need to check with your States DNR or Dept. of Wildlife. I believe, in most cases, you don't need training to get the license. I would suggest you go to taxidermy.net, you will find a load of help there. Next thing is to find out if your State has a taxidermy association, if it does, join it. The info you receive will be priceless. Then if you want training you can look at schools and get recommendations from former students and see what kind of work they do. IMO, the two best schools I have seen are Second nature taxidermy school and Griffith's taxidermy school. You can find both of these on taxidermy.net. Good luck in your search for knowledge, and Never stop learning.
