Welcome to the boards new guy!

It would be best to contact Cabela's and ask them that question.  I feel for you lefties.  My son in one of you.  I think the number of lefties hunting is at least 20% these days as I've been taking notice since my son started shooting.  It's about time you all started making demands of the firearms makers and the big retail sellers.

Yea, I remember way back when it was common to see a left handed shooter working a bolt action rifle. Think they make more bows and guns left handed now. How did you end up with a 0 on posts, would guess at least one post would be recorded witht he first one. ????????

Left handed models cost a bit more to produce and the numbers just ain't there for them to justify making a large number and have them sit till someone left handed needs one.

The receiver, safety, stock and bolt all have to be reversed for a lefty bolt action rifle.

What worries me about a LH shooter using a RH rifle is this:
Rifle receivers should have receiver metal on the side nearest the shooters face in case of some catastrophic failure of the round, or the rifle.  The exploding gases and shrapnel should be directed away from the shooters face in the event of a disaster.  This will not be the case when a LH shooter uses a RH rifle.  To me that is just not acceptable.  A lefty should always use a LH rifle, no matter what.

Big Dawg is right.  What you may be able to do is see if they could get you a left handed rifle at what would be considered a sale price.  Like at the same discount as they are giving for the right handed model.

MrVJP, there won't be a catastrophic failure of anything if you a.)take care of your gun  and b.) smartly choose the right ammo for your gun. There's nothing wrong with a lefty shootin' righty's gun. I know a few lefties that actually prefer shootin'  right-handed guns, why, I don't specifically remember. But yes, IT IS BETTER for a lefty to shoot a lefty gun, but its not wrong not to.

Critter he's just saying "stuff happens" beyond your control . I'm a lefty and my flint lock and my 270 are the only ones in LH ( did have to pay a few bucks more for them ) , but for many years I shouldered a 30-30 with the receiver pointed at my face . Never thought about it but that is a good point to consider .
